Pair of top-10's in Winter Meltdown doubleheader at Vado

Hacienda Motorsports pilot Carlos Ahumada Jr. returned to the driver’s seat of his Hughes Racing Chassis No. 65x Modified over the weekend for the two-day Winter Meltdown at Vado Speedway Park (Vado, N.M.).

Starting on the third row for Friday’s opener via an eight-lap victory in his heat race, Carlos lost one spot in the 30-lap affair to finish sixth.

For another $3,000-to-win program on Saturday, Ahumada Jr. squeezed into the finale with a fourth-place finish in his heat race. Cracking the top-10, Carlos advanced forward six positions to register a 10th-place finish.
