Ahumada Jr. earns top-5 result in Vado Mother’s Day Special
Carlos Ahumada Jr. raced close to home on Mother’s Day weekend as he competed in the 31-car USRA Modified division at Vado Speedway Park.
The Hacienda Motorsports driver steered to third in his heat race at the 3/8-mile oval in Vado, New Mexico, and rolled off 13th in the 35-lap A-Main. He charged forward nine positions in the race to claim a fourth-place finish behind Jake Gallardo, C.J. Hulsey and Royal Jones. Austin Adams took the fifth spot.
